The administrative model can be kept simple and matched to who refers the work, who approves it, and who pays.
Researcher-paid referrals
PPS provides a dedicated referral route or approved wording. The researcher submits the document, receives the quotation, and pays PPS directly.
Department or project budgets
A named coordinator can authorise work under a department, laboratory, grant, or project budget. Each document retains its own agreed scope and record.
Journal or programme support
A journal, graduate school, or postgraduate programme can refer authors or students through an agreed pathway, with billing handled either individually or institutionally.
Implementation
What PPS sets up for each arrangement
We agree the route before referrals begin so researchers and administrators know what happens at each stage.
Referral route
A dedicated URL, approved referral wording, and a source identifier can be used so PPS knows where an enquiry originated.
Quoting and authorisation
PPS assesses the document and issues a written quotation. The researcher or named institutional contact approves the work according to the agreed payment model.
Billing and records
PPS can invoice the researcher, invoice an institution per project, or use an agreed consolidated billing cycle where appropriate.
